This player is nice for its showing a waveform, but it has to be manually constructed by uploading one file at a time. The player after this one auto-populates the playlist from any files within a specified folder on the host server.

These first 4 pieces were made after my warming up a bit. The first 3 recorded pieces aren’t worth hearing, and the beginning parts of the top one listed here still finds me uncertain and cold, not yet hearing the music. The rest of the pieces are little better, with a few questionable transitions here and there that could have been done better. In the 4th piece, I’m getting tired at the beginning. I usually know when I need to stop. Either my hands or my mind wear out.

The quality of the sound in these is better than what I sent to you before. I tried several filters with these. I switched the left and right channels to place the bass on the left (it sounds ok in headphones; plugging the mics into the correct port means any more recordings will sound right). I made the wave signature the same intensity for both, which the audio box should be able to do as a pre-amp, and then added compression. The compression seems to pull the signal out of the noise, sort of like increasing the contrast in a photograph. That made the track a bit too loud, which I dealt with later. I used a high pass filter with a cutoff at 300kHz, though that seemed a bit too much for later recordings. That eliminated some of the droning bass.

I have to learn what to do with my left hand when playing. The droning bothers me. I’m sure I can give my left hand a voice of its own. Finally, I had to reduce the gain by 6dB, which seemed about right. If I didn’t drone so much in the bass/rhythm, I suspect these could be more song like rather than just jamming and wandering freely all over the place. The sound would have more clarity and be more sensible, for sure.
