Lacey Stinson is a surrealist at heart. Hints toward this fact are even evident in his plein air landscapes. Weathering the rain, sleet, and burning Southern sun, as he does, just to place a few marks on paper or canvas, one might think madness. But this is often what it takes. If there is a price to pay, it is worth it, in Lacey’s mind, to turn varied fantasies of life into treasured cultural artifacts of our time.
